IN MEMORIAM
International Master Nikola Karaklajić
(1926 - 2008)
Belgrade Chess Union is saddened to inform the chess public that International Master Nikola Karaklajic passed away on 16th December in Belgrade, at the age of 83. He was one of the most important figures in Yugoslavian and Serbian chess. Player, writer, trainer, organizer, arbiter, journalist, chess ambassador.

SERBIA THE BEST IN EUROPE
The Serbian national team has, for the thrid consecutive time, won first place in the European Championship in solving chess problems. It ended in a photo finsih where the Serbian team managed to grab first place, after the Russian team led for the majoritz of the tournament. |
